About World Health Ambassador

World Health Ambassador (WHA) was established to provide medical relief efforts to communities throughout the world that are in desperate need of medical and dental assistance. The Program seeks to offer medical and dental care to underserved communities overseas, regardless of ethnicity or religion, and to assist in medical relief efforts for natural disasters in the United States.

WHA’s international missions involve both the provision of medical and dental services to a population in need, as well as medical and dental teaching at healthcare institutions in the host country.

Screening Colonoscopy Teaching Program

We are launching a screening colonoscopy teaching program at the Can Tho School of Health Sciences in the fall of 2011. The WHA program is looking for volunteer gastroenterologists and nurses with experience in colonoscopy to join our medical teaching team.

The teaching mission will be of one week duration. Approximately one teaching team will be sent per quarter.

Medical and Dental Mission to Vietnam

We are in the preliminary stage of preparing for a medical and dental mission to Vietnam in late March of 2012.

We will be looking for medical and dental health professionals and support staff. Support staff can be of any background. The team is especially interested in individuals with experience in news media, journalism, website experience, and videography. The mission will be of 2 weeks duration. The work and travel are demanding and you will be immersed in the local cultures.

Rapid Disaster Respond Program

We are looking for health professional and non-health professional volunteers with all background experience to participate in our Rapid Disaster Respond program
